Perfect Formal Tie

If you are of average height (I'm 6'1") you will need a very long tie, especially if you plan on tying a full Windsor knot occasionally. Remember that the point of your tie should be in the middle of your belt/sash. This 100% silk tie is perfect for all formal occasions. First, it's 100% silk, so it's as formal and sophisticated as it gets. Secondly, this is exactly the width that the tie should be. Any tie wider than 2-1/2 inches will look too clownish. Although called "narrow", it is NOT considered a true narrow tie width. The normal width range for a tie is 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 inches. . Finally, being black, it can be worn with almost any suit. Try to keep your tie free from dirt and food stains whenever possible. Silk ties should never be washed, as should other undergarments. I also recommend using a tie bar instead of a pin, as a tie pin can leave a permanent hole in thin fabric. Or, if you prefer the clasp and pinless look, use e.g. "Keeper" fabric loop attached to the back of the tie.
