Review on 🎨 Jelife Alcohol Ink Set - 24 Vibrant Alcohol-Based Inks for Epoxy Resin Art by Angela Rodriguez

You get what you pay for

I am very disappointed with this alcohol based ink and don't understand all the positive reviews. I had to replace them with a higher quality brand (pinata) fairly quickly, since spoiling the picture with such inferior products was not worth the risk, especially when working with expensive resin. First, the colors are not the same as on the labels, on the side of the box, or in the pictures above. Purple is rather disappointing, it is not a pure pigment (when alcohol is added it separates into pink and blue). There is no fire engine red as I had hoped and the oranges are rather disappointing. Second, the colors fade very quickly. This is especially true of the blue, which turned a light brown color about a month after mixing with the resin, despite not being exposed to direct sunlight. Third, the bottles are really hard and difficult to squeeze. It is very difficult to control what you are doing. I have used other alcohol inks (Pinata and Ranger) and they are much easier to use. Fourth, many colors do not dissolve well. Got a lot of unsightly marks when pasting it on Yupo paper. I think I'll use them to try out the techniques; they are not suitable for much more.

Pros
  • HIGH CONCENTRATION
Cons
  • Very expensive
