I bought these for bird watching from about 15 feet on the patio from the table to a longer distance. I had old Bushnell 7x30 binoculars so I was hoping the higher magnification would help me see the detail. It was an "impulse buy" so I honestly hoped it would be worth the money I actually didn't want to spend. Oh my god, what a nice surprise! The first morning, even before the light hit my feeder, I was able to see the birds in detail like never before! Great optics, good light (it wasn't really dark so I can't speak to that ability), easy to find the object I was looking at. I could actually see that the bird I was looking at was a songbird and not a vireo! I could see the sharp, pointed beak and graceful paws that set them apart! A very nice upgrade over my old Bushnell - and both are smaller and lighter too! Just like the attached front lens cover. Very happy with this purchase!
