Review on ARCTIC F12 PWM PWM Signal Regulates by Jim Bijelic

Quiet and they move a lot of air!

These fans move large volumes of air silently. They are easy to assemble and make a good impression, especially considering the price. They don't have high static pressure, but move a large volume of air. This makes them ideal for case enthusiasts. I bought four packs and installed them in a Coolermaster HAF 912. The air they move is significant compared to Coolermaster case fans. Unlike most fans, they are electrically stackable. There is space along the cable to connect a second fan, allowing you to use more fans than you have on the motherboard headers. You can always use the PSU output and run the fan at 100%, but using the motherboard allows you some control over the fan and you also get an alert when the fan is stopped or not running. Not to mention, this method gives you audible feedback on how much work is being done on your CPU. One star off for the quality of the wiring. The tachometer wire feels almost hair-thin and seems to break easily. For some reason this wire is separate from the rest of the wiring harness making it a bit difficult to clean the case after installation. Some people have mentioned that they don't like colored wires. So you know which wire goes with what. If you don't like the colors, you can always buy a case to come back to later. The white fan blades actually look pretty good moving in the black case. Overall this is good value for money and they will certainly move air around your body!
