Had this product since November 2016. It's a good product. A little more see-through than I wanted but only paid a couple of bucks for it. It is velvety to touch, shows finger prints quite well. Obviously wouldn't expect this to help my Mac book air if it falls. Mostly cosmetic look rather than safety, although it will obviously keep my Mac from any scratches on the outside. One side of the bottom part doesn't latch on to my mac well but it still stays on and hasn't come off (I would show but my "add a photo" thing isn't working). The silicon key board protection is good. A little grippy, so keeps my fingers from sliding/gliding. one little aspect I don't like about that. Get what you pay for. I have the Mac book air 11inch.
