I bought this because I recently installed a two din stereo with backup camera etc. The stereo is connected to obd2. I think knowing that the car is going backwards and some other functions. I already had a scanner to monitor gas mileage and fluid temp. So the obd2 splitter seemed like the perfect solution. Worked great for the first few weeks, then one day all my sensors and warning lights went haywire. At first it seemed like a disastrous failure. Then I remembered the splinter. What I disabled was leaving the scanner disabled and just plugging in the stereo. Everything is fine now, except I'm missing my scan sensor. I'm not sure if these 2 devices don't like each other or if the splitter is defective.
