It's very sticky and smells like chemicals

I just received this ball and I'm not sure if it's defective or all. it's very sticky right out of the box and smells like chemicals. I don't see a leak hole, but it definitely feels and smells. It's disgusting, nobody wants to play with a sticky rubber ball like that. I will send it back immediately. It sucks, although I'd really like it if it wasn't tacky.
