is not as thick fabric and durable buckle as the side, so can't rate higher than 3. but for the money this is a functional option, enough for a year of everyday use. I need to spend more for a heavier belt which I will make on my next purchase. But for now, they get the job done but aren't durable, high-performance items. I bought these lightweight chrome buckles cheaply because chrome is more elegant and I use them when wearing formal wear rather than the heavier belts for my needlework.
