I bought this curling tong as a cheaper alternative to the one that was all over the internet and always sold out. The foam inside is very hard, almost like styrofoam. Because it's so stiff, it doesn't wrap around your head very well and tends to pull back if your hair isn't wrapped around it tightly enough. While quite firm, it was still quite comfortable to sleep in as long as it didn't ride up too far on the back of the head. In the morning my hair was curled evenly and looked very nice and by the end of the day it stayed slightly curled. So it's not a perfect copy of the popular brand you see online, but it still gets the job done for less.
