Good Starter Kit
What I like about this set is that 1. it's not expensive and 2. it has everything you need to learn how to to sharpen a stone properly. This makes it a really attractive set for beginners. These are also water-based, so cleaning them up is easier for those who are just learning. With this kit I was able to take a very old, very cheap 7" chef's knife from completely unusable to razor sharp. I just have to remember to keep it wet. Soak it for 10-20 minutes before you start and add the add water all the time use the corner guide until you feel the right angle yourself need help!
