Once installed and running, this OLED display looks pretty good and is a decent product for the price. However, it took about an hour of troubleshooting to get it working. There is a 0 ohm jumper/resistor on the back to select one of the two I2C addresses written on the silkscreen layer next to each jumper position. However, the device I received had a completely different address. I highly recommend programming the "I2C Scanner" sketch from the Wire library first to find the actual display address. After finding it I went through about 6 different libraries claiming to support 128x64 OLEDs with SSD1309 drivers before I found one that could even be compiled let alone programmed for Uno and where something was on the display was displayed. If you don't mind spending the extra time getting it to work, it's a pretty good looking display. If the company had their own Arduino library with some example sketches, or at least a list of compatible libraries, and they fixed the I2C address issue, I'd probably give it 4/5 stars. The only thing that worries me is the low quality control and lack of documentation. Next time I think I'll use Adafruit or Sparkfun for my Arduino peripherals. ham sandwich.
