Review on 3-Piece Professional Watercolor Paint Brush Set With Squirrel Hair - Mop, Round & Fine Tip Brushes For Art Painting, Gouache & Detailing by Todd Mamat

Great Brush for the price!

I like these mop brushes. Washed them first with my special brush soap to get off the "sizing" that you will have on all new brushes. Holds lots of water. I wanted this particular set especially for the smallest brush which held its shape nicely. At first a few hairs fell out and I was worried but that stopped after a little bit. So maybe 5 hairs fell out. Washed them again after using no more hair falling out, and be sure to always dry your brushes laying horizontally on a towel or paper towels, unless you have a special holder to hold the brushes with the hair pointing down. Never let your brushes stand in the water cup. A good way to ruin your brush and get water in the ferrel especially if you let them dry with the hair part up. Great value for the price. I have two other brands for mop brushes and happy with them also. One brand is a mid range price and one brush is Italian only can buy in Italy. (high end brush). Its my favorite with the best control. Synthetic brush hairs. I think these brushes from Meeden to me are a mid range brush, because even though the price was low, they performed well. The brand is a trusted brand. When I first started out I bought the watercolors which I consider a student set. They were vibrant colors and worked well. I also had a Meeden brush with he set and was happy with that too. I do love their watercolor palettes. 18 wells
