Every time I untangled my hair, strands of hair would get tangled in my (old) hair tie BUT these silk hair ties are amazing! Most days he does NOT have his hair plucked. And in rare cases, only one strand comes off. Who knew a scrunchie could work better than expensive shampoos/hair products?! A silk pillowcase also helps.
