Minus 3 stars for the fact that the new version was cheaper: earlier this model had rubber sidewalls, in the new version they are made of plastic. Perhaps due to the fact that the new mouse was released explicitly for the Chinese market. I bought a second mouse due to the fact that the click wheel on the old mouse began to work poorly after a couple of years of fairly intensive use. Otherwise, the old mouse had no shortcomings. Haven't noticed any other issues with the new one either.
