Advantages: -The application is easy to use and install on both computers and phones -I can see the child very well. Image quality is a bit grainy but it doesn't interfere with my field of view and I wasn't expecting the camera to be super high quality. The range of the camera is excellent. The camera can follow the baby everywhere, even if it knocks them over. I can also see the whole room, although she's never that far away from her. I can see them at night just as well as in daylight. The camera is in the far corner of the house (only 1000 square feet, but still) and still works well (70%+ connectivity). Didn't notice any lag at all. Cons - No night mode on/off feature and a very loud click when switching views. When I look at my phone, it's unbearable and the baby wakes up. I have to try to position the camera to stay in one mode or another and it's not easy. I can point it directly at a sunny window and it still bounces. This isn't a problem at night when all the lights are off, but bedtime can be random. It needs to be plugged in and the child is obsessed with playing with it. It would probably be better if I fixed it somewhere, but we're moving it from the bed to the crib, and I need to be able to move the camera too. It makes a loud noise every time you turn it on. If I have to unplug it to move it, I have to smother it with a pillow to keep the baby from waking up, and that doesn't always work. Conclusion - a great camera. I would definitely not buy it again as a baby monitor.
