I purchased this item because my friend's car had to pass through the emissions on the Atlanta subway but the "Check Engine" light was on. However, as some of you may know, even after the repair, even after the lights are off, you still need to drive in the fog for a while before the emissions will be missed. This device did a great job of tracking when the car is "clean" to skip emissions. However, I have since used it to help many friends (and sometimes strangers) with their car problems. Much less hassle when using between different vehicles than the Bluetooth or smartphone based solutions I've tried. Overall - if you want the best bang for your buck this is a good choice.
