Review on 🌑️ Elitech GSP-6G Digital Temperature Humidity Data Logger with Detachable Buffered Probe - 5PACK by Michael Gonzales

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Useful and easy to use data logger.

I'm impressed with this little data logger. I've used it to verify the refrigeration and defrost cycles in my fridge/freezer, figure out a humidifier issue in my heat exchanger, and check the temperature in my small wine cellar. I've also watched how the temperature in our house rises in the morning and falls in the evening, which has helped me get our thermostat set correctly. The display is very easy to read and you can start data recording with one-button operation. I like that the temperature and humidity sensors are external. This allows me to place sensors in the cavity and still read data from the display as it collects data. The Windows based software I had to download from their website works well. It seems to have everything I need, including a sample data chart showing just temperature, just humidity, or both. I didn't give it five stars because the software might need some cleaning. It's clearly written by a Chinese, so there are a few spelling mistakes. But more importantly, there are a few oddities. When I exported the data to Excel, the data was in text form, not number form. So when I tried to create a chart in Excel, Excel was not satisfied. I had to play around and convert the different cells to the appropriate formats. Also, the only way to clear the old data and start a new sample is to change the value in the parameter setting. There is probably a more direct way, but I haven't found it. If the software's interface was cleaned up a bit, I would give this product 5 stars.

Pros
  • LONG RANGE AND HIGH PERFORMANCE. With a wide temperature measurement range from -40℉ to 185℉, humidity 10%~99% RH, it records up to 16,000 temperature points and 16,000 humidity points.
Cons
  • Not sure
