When I first removed this from its package, I held it up to the light to inspect it for flaws. Immediately I saw flaws in the fabric. I have a feeling this material may be "seconds" due to what I saw. There is a raised pattern in the material and the flaws appear in several places where this pattern ends and picks up. It seems like the material was stretched in the process of being made and there are small gaps in the pattern. I gave it a few tugs to see if it would further separate and it held tight. Since the tablecloth is charcoal in color and it was going on a black table, I figured you would not see the flaws and I was right. The big test will be when it needs to be laundered. If it falls apart, I will revise this review.The major plus to this item is that it is a heavyweight material. So many tablecloths are extremely thin and flimsy. This one has some heft to it.
