as past experience suggested they might not "fit" my feet and were either uncomfortably tight were or maybe contained too much garbage in the heel. these jungle moccasins, on the other hand, are great for my feet and very comfortable. The elastic part (roughly where the laces normally go) is not too tight and not too loose. The inside is lined with soft padding, but (importantly) the lining never wrinkles or creases. They're about as comfortable as slippers, but with a sturdy insole and support, I associate them with lightweight hiking shoes. I found I could quickly and easily put these shoes on by simply stepping on them, but they never seem to fall off my feet. I've been wearing Merrells for a long time (still still laced) but recently tried Keen for casual shoes. Now I remember why I love Merrells so much: great breathability (these make feet sweat but not too much and they don't smell), great support, great comfort. slightly narrow heel. Partly based on previous experience, I figured I might have a problem with slip-ons because they lack the ability that the laces provide to be tightened at the top, cinching the back of the shoe tight, and tying the heel in place last, and also offer adjustment options so my toes and arch aren't too tight. I've tried the default width and they work great for me.
