I got 14 inch for my terrier. The winters have been cold so he gives him an extra layer of medium thickness when he sleeps. He looks so cute and happy in it. Love it. Fits him perfectly. Does not get dirty when walking and walks with full movement. It doesn't restrict. Doesn't shrink when washed. The reds don't seem to fade but I've only washed them twice. The price is a bit high BUT really nothing to complain about as it fits it with plenty of coverage and allows for relaxed, comfortable movement when walking.
