I don't know Is this normal and intentional that the blocks do not fit tightly together. If he tries to build his tower, it will fall apart. He is 18 months old and can build a simple unplanned structure. He gets frustrated when he breaks down so easily. A slightly tighter fit would allow him to put them together easily, but they wouldn't fall apart in a snap or in the event of a block. They are smooth and strong with bright beautiful colors. The blocks arrived on time in a sturdy zippered storage bag. I thought we would like them but so far they are more disappointing.
