My son plays on the university track and field team and also on the cross country team in high school and trains every day after school. He also met up with his teammates over the summer to train alone and he wanted this digital pocket watch for the stopwatch function, but I think he wanted it for all the bells and whistles it comes with. They come with a carabiner. So he clipped it to his school bag and used it to keep track of time during a training run with his teammates. The digital stopwatch ensures good readability and also has a backlight so that it is also clearly visible in the dark. Another nice feature is that it is waterproof so he can use it in the rain as they also run and train in the pouring rain. It also includes a barometer and thermometer, but is primarily used for the stopwatch function. Very well built and also impact resistant, which is great because it's always prone to dropping things. He is very happy with that.
