Every time I try to use this adapter I have to unplug and plug it back in, after which it takes several tries to get it to work properly. Then it works correctly, but it is very annoying to wait a minute when it was necessary to start immediately and transparently. Seems like it needs to get warm to work. I use it with 4K Apple TV and LG TV and when I connect them directly there is no problem at all. Update: eSync contacted me and since they couldn't send me a replacement because they were outside the US, they issued a full refund. Even if I regret that it didn't work out because it met all the requirements I needed, I have to say that this is a very correct company. I then increased my rating to 4 stars.
