Unfortunately I didn't notice; The description clearly says "leather". After putting this belt on for the first time, I noticed that the holes began to stretch and nearly ruptured. I kept trying other holes just to keep it going, but it was on the brink of death (and it only lasted me 10 weeks). Nothing speaks against the seller here, only the goods. PS no, the belt is not too small.
