mAh isn't just a nerd term

The first and only time I've used a fully charged new battery in my sawmill has taken less than 20 minutes. I've been told that new lithium batteries need to be charged several times before they can hold a full charge. I've never read about this in the literature that accompanies new wireless tools, so I'm skeptical, but I'll try. More on that later. After charging the new battery for the second time, I noticed that the runtime had increased to around 1 hour. Obviously, new lithium batteries get better the more you charge them. I also learned that mAh refers to milliamp hours, which is a measure of expected run time. The new batteries have a nominal capacity of 3800 mAh. DeWalt does not disclose the mAh rating of its DC9096 battery. I wonder why they keep it a secret. I also checked the weight of various batteries: DeWalt with secret rating: 2.38 lbs. weight, the greater the mAh rating. I would also like to mention the new battery manufacturer who read my initial poor review and expressed an interest in my situation. They even sent me another kit (4000mah) to test and compare, which I haven't done yet. This kind of concern for customer satisfaction is not expected from most vendors these days. I am reviewing my original low rating.
