Review on Enhanced Accuracy at Your Fingertips: GreaterGoods Digital Pocket Letter by Daniel Ogbebor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use and accurate results - great!

I have refilled my printer cartridges at home with inks that are exactly the same as what the OEM supplies and sells for a lot of money. This saves me a pack but requires me to constantly measure the amount of ink I put back into an empty cartridge. Too much ink and everything will leak; too low and the printer counter gives incorrect refill information. Other larger scales I've used have either been fairly inaccurate, rocked on a flat surface, or would not turn on shortly after first use. I use a kitchen scale I bought from Revain a while back, it's from Greater Good and has a built in computer to calculate calories by type and weight. Simple, it's amazing. So I tested this portable scale in hopes it would be the last one I would have to buy to weigh these printer cartridges. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's perfect. The size of the scale didn't surprise me, but it weighs more than I expected. This is good because it sits firmly on the surface. Rubber feet (one in each corner) hold up well, not sticky. The top cover snaps into place and removes safely, making it unlikely to be lost in transit. The lid can also be used to hold more items on the surface of the scale. Don't forget to reset the scaling to zero before adding items to avoid skewing the results. Resetting to zero is as easy as pressing a single button. A two second press of the power button turns it on and a short press of the same button turns it off. As you can see from Revane's description, measurements can be read in many different ways, from ounces to grams and more. I checked the accuracy of the scale with my father-in-law's jewelry weights and they were accurate. So if you are looking for a portable, reliable, accurate and affordable scale, your search could end right here.

Pros
  • Sleek and elegant: matte black finish, chrome weight sensor and high-contrast, backlit LCD display (ideal for both bright and low light). The Greater Goods pocket scale is sleek as if it were made for the race track. Functionality isn't always enough, sometimes something that looks great is just as important.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
