I searched for a train set to go around my Christmas tree and many sets came up in my search. While I almost chose the $24 set, I decided to invest $44.99 on this set which had fairly good reviews. I figured more money means better quality. This is where I feel I got taken. My first impression was the flimsy box it arrived in, looked like something you would buy at your local drugstore in the toy section. Then setting the train tracks around the tree was nearly impossible because of the cheap plastic tracks that wouldn't stay attached, especially when setting it up over a tree skirt. I had to glue the tracks to stay put. It kept lifting even though i have hardwood floors and the tree skirt laid flat. The train tracks were only long enough to go around the very base of the tree. I was looking for a train set that could be seen going around the tree, but its hidden under the tree instead. The only positive thing I can say is that the train is battery operated (2 AA batteries NOT included). Also the hook to keep the train carts together kept getting detached and I had to reinforce it with a paperclip. I would NOT recommend this set.
