I took a chance and ordered 4 pieces not sure if they would be too big and bulky. In my photo they are hanging from a Corelle bowl if that helps with scaling. You absolutely can't put this spoon in your mouth all the way, but sip and pour the contents into your mouth from the side of the spoon, ladle-like. No shedding, not even for my kids. I ordered these because I wanted a stainless steel option, similar to the Asian soup spoons we're used to when you're essentially pouring soup into your mouth. The edges are smooth, and while it seemed like it would be intimidating to use, it's not. My left handed husband said they looked like they were made for right handed people but the only difference in usage would be that his spoon would point away from him when hanging from the bowl. They look amazing and we found them perfect for soup and ramen.
