I got my 3600X today and it's a beast. Putting it under the H115i gives you enough cooling to hit 4.2GHz at just 1.35V. I'm starting at 2600 (not X) and it's leaps and bounds ahead of the old CPU. I would recommend that you stick with the X470 or B450 board unless you really need PCIe Gen 4.0 or any of the other goodies the X570 offers. With lower power consumption than last generation, there should be no problem on most X470 and B450 boards. Most, if not all, will need to flash/update the BIOS to run the Ryzen 3000, so make an informed decision about whether to borrow an older chip or find a board that can be updated without a processor. I can unreservedly and 100% recommend this processor. and trust that everyone will be happy with it, both in games and workflows. As always, make an informed decision based on other users and reviews to ensure this is the best choice for you!
