The main thing in headphones is the sound, and it is beautiful here. Headphones have an excellent flat frequency response. They are detailed and transparent. I would not call them light or dark, they are just right, the golden mean. I listened to them classical, rock, electronic music, pop, jazz. There are small questions to the classics, everything else is excellent. But if you tighten the equalizer in the application for a specific genre, then everything is fine everywhere. The app only allows you to customize the sound if you switch to SBS mode. There is also a separate bass setting. Now the most controversial moment. I downloaded a Daft Punk hi-res album to my phone (Galaxy S8+). One composition weighs about 100MB. Quality 24Bit 88Khz. Enabled the LDAC protocol, the one that transmits 900kbps. And even if you crack, well, there is no difference with the SBS protocol with standard 320Kbps with Google Music, no matter how hard you listen. Perhaps a better source is needed. But, I'm sure, for 99% this is not necessary, the sound is already beautiful. I am a picky user. I listen to music on excellent AKG N30 hybrid earplugs for 10tr (in general, I consider them ideal). I also have a Sennheiser HD 4.40. They are good, but a little dark for my taste and the sound is not so collected. So, the Sonys sound almost as good as my armature AKGs, but it lacks that super-transparency in the highs that only the armature driver gives. I'm not saying that the tops are bad, just the ideal is always somewhere out there. I liked the touch control - norms. ANC always turns on when you turn on the headphones - this is bad. The headphones also have such an angular shape that they seem fragile and subconsciously handle them very carefully. They are quite heavy, so when the head is sharply tilted down, they move out a little. I watched a movie in them for 2.5 hours, I did not feel any discomfort. But I would like to weigh less. Why didn't you take 1000xm2? The 900s have better sound, right. They are smaller. I do not need an active super noise-daving. Liked the design better. More than satisfied with the headphones. I definitely recommend. Who needs numbers, find a review on the rtings of these headphones.
