When I first received these I thought they were too thin. However, the microfleece is warm and they are warm enough to keep my hands warm. Now I like that they are thin and not bulky. I took them for a run in 35-40 degree weather and found them warm enough without a wrap. In windy weather, the mittens are laminated, which makes them windproof. I think if the temperature drops below zero I will add silk lining. I add liners to all my gloves. The nose cleaning cloth on the thumb is made of pleasantly soft waffle fleece. It has an attractive cuff with magnets to hold it together. I love how versatile they are, they can be worn as gloves and mittens and are light enough to slip into a vest pocket without looking too ridiculous. Wrist to tip of longest finger is 7.5 inches so I went for M/L but I think I could get away with S/M as there is still room for my fingertips and it's quite wide. wise, plus it's a polar knit fleece so it stretches. So if your size is mine and you're on the fence and like a slim fit, go down a size.
