Don't cut! for sewing tools
I really wanted to like this. I really did. The handle fits my hand well. The light worked well and a magnifying glass came in handy. However, the most important function of the ripper is to cut the thread, and this device simply did not perform that. I had to go back to my old cheap tiny grip ripper just to get through the thread. A brand new ripper should be sharp. In fact, I forcibly broke the thread, not cut it. Unacceptable.
