Edited June 2018 Got a new speaker and it works as advertised. I would like to believe that my first experience was an isolated and simply defective product as there are so many other positive reviews of these speakers. I will also say that Aomais customer service is excellent. I also have a business that sells on Revain and I know how much positive feedback means to sellers and I also know the importance of maintaining a good customer service rating and this business is top notch. After this experience I would buy from them again. The new speaker was very loud for many hours (I've used it 6 times in a row and it still has way more power to last longer). I will say that the small subwoofers distort the sound a bit at full volume. I had to either tone it down a bit, or use the phone's equalizer to tone down the bass a bit. Haven't tried it in the water yet but I'm happy with the purchase. It also has an external port for adding a microphone, and you can use it as a speaker for phone calls if you want, which I think is a nice touch. I have a similar speaker that does the same thing, but it has a tiny built-in mic that doesn't work that well. With this, you can add a large microphone for better recording and better performance. Original post: I bought this during the Revain flash sale last December. I wanted to donate but luckily I didn't. I just opened it up to use in our cabin and it's very loud for about five minutes. It then gets softer and softer as the power decreases until you can barely hear it. This is serious in 5-10 minutes! I plugged it in to charge another 5 hours and took it out to play garden music. Dead again in 15 min. Recharged overnight and the third time I still have the same result. I wish I could return it. What junk. Please don't waste your money. There are many such speakers on the market that last at least 4-6 hours on a single charge. I never tried the waterproof thing because the music couldn't last long enough to get to the water's edge. upset.
