I used these pair of boots to hike in south Texas semi-arid brushy areas. They were comfortable and easy to put on, but the 2 main problems were after a few walkouts, they expanded and were loose fitting, plus the laces kept untying…. the surface of the laces apparently did not have enough friction to prevent them from untying while trotting for a few miles! After about 4 days of this constant "untying” , I was forced to change the laces to a type that did not loosen at all! I fell twice due to tripping on my laces, even after tying them military style ( around the ankle) the laces stretched too much and slipped a lot! The inner foam sole also flattened out within 3 days. They looked very good and well made, until I walked in them for a few months. They are not made for American South Texas trekking! Good thing I brought my Walmart boots!
