Don't worry about buying a co-sleeper. My baby ONLY wanted to sleep in my bed. I did everything I could to get her out of my bed, but I fell asleep and only continued to sleep when it was in our bed. It was a much safer option to let it happen without worrying that he might slide towards her. I have a huge bed so I just tuck it in the top left corner, me in the middle and my husband on the right and I still sleep fairly comfortably. Getting in and out is a trick, but stumbling left or right wasn't necessary when I was pregnant anyway, so I got used to crabs scampering around on the bed. In any case, make sure that you can send this bassinet back. EVERY child is individual. So this is just MY experience with my first girl. She is 7 weeks old and has only woken up once between feeding at 11:30am and waking up at 8am since I have put her to bed and this trend has not changed.
