This is a product that should be used to clean sooty walls and ceilings. This is the only product I have used that removes carbon easily and effectively. This product is the perfect size/depth and substance. I have 2500 square meters. Feet, so I end up needing about six boxes of 18 sponges - that's with a bit of soot covering the walls and ceiling. If you have a thick layer of soot, you will need more. Do not try to wash off the soot, otherwise it will soak into the paint. Use a quality dry sponge like this product and you'll be removing grime (or dirt/dust) quickly and easily.
