The built in tester is what I wanted and it does the job perfectly. What they don't tell you is that the grommet at the end makes the connector too long to fit modern SUV hitches. My Subaru Ascent has the spare tire right behind the hitch, so the big plug just doesn't fit. I had to take the dremel out of the neck and give it a right angle. There's also an issue with the small 4-pin connector on the side. It just wouldn't stay in the hole so I had to glue it in. The wires on the 4 pin connector are a bit bare so I had to add a harness cover. Still - I love the tester right there after. The little +12V light that's always on even helps me find the clutch in the dark.
