Well it's a great secure edge protector for the phone and the clip cover is better than the Pelicans design. There is only one design flaw. The hard plastic interior will wear away and scratch the edges of the phone's faceplate, leaving deep marks over time. I've only dropped the phone once and the Defender's outer rubber was protected as it should be. no scratches on the rubber. However, when I examined the edge of the phone, there was a small scratch on the hard plastic. Whoever designed it didn't really think it through. So now my 1400.00 phone has a scratch from the inner plastic of the Defender case. lol I ordered a Pelican Voyager although I hate his holster case, it was supposed to be a full case like Otterboxe's holster and clip. If the Pelican Voyager gets worse I will return it, re-order the Defender and tape the edges of the phone. Yes, it's a ghetto, but at least my phone will have full protection and won't get scratched. :) Update: Upon closer inspection, I noticed a thin layer of plastic tape around the edges of the phones. Thus, the strap was scratched, but not the phone itself! Hallelujah! After comparing it to the most durable Pelican phone case (Voyager), I noticed that there was no full case due to the curved screen protector, lack of camera lens protection and holster. So Otterbox Defender wins! The best and most durable phone case you can find. Just add a curved tempered glass phone screen and camera lens kit and your phone will be better protected than anything you can buy in a kit.
