When first installing I couldn't attach the bottom tabs to the bottom of the mirror so I took a hair dryer and heated the bottom tabs for about 5 minutes and they slid right in. I read that someone exposed them to the sun to warm them up, but I think a hair dryer works much faster and you can direct the heat to where you need it. Once they were in place I drove the truck and now I can see both sides of my pontoon and they don't vibrate. If so, they have a set screw to tighten the mirror but I didn't have to use it. They fit well so I leave them on for the rest of the boating season so I don't have to constantly take them on and off.
