Review on Motive Products - 1118 High-Performance Brake Bleeder for GM, Late Mustang, and Tesla Vehicles by Jason Morrison

Damaged tank, build your own instead!

I have a Pontiac G6. I used a thinner rubber washer and tried screwing it to the brake reservoir. As a precaution, I even oiled the tabs. As other reviewers have said, it's CUTTING THE TABS that hold the regular lid. Luckily I stopped halfway to avoid destroying the entire tab, but there is now a distinct notch/bulge that makes it difficult to unscrew a regular cap. Take my advice, buy one of these made of plastic, or better yet, MAKE YOUR OWN. I got a replacement cap and gasket from an auto parts store (Dorman 42042 and 42072 for my G6) and some other parts and gaskets from a hardware store. I've tested my homemade lid up to 15psi with no problems. Use plenty of thread tape and wide spacers to prevent leaks. That way you know you have the perfect fit and the only problem is getting it airtight. Unfortunately, this product probably would have been great if the manufacturer had only made their lugs narrower or added a thinner rubber washer. But as it is I give it 0/5 stars and plan to return it.
