Even better than I expected. They are packed in a sturdy attractive box. The presentation looked special and I would consider this gift worthy. It was just lovely to open the box and see how beautiful these clips look. I received two brown (lighter and darker) tortoiseshell claw clips and one blue tortoiseshell claw clip. I use all sizes and I find this to be the average size at around 2.5 inches in length. As long as the claw grips and holds the hair well. The teeth overlap slightly. Some clips overlap and leave no gaps, which is great for fixing hair, also suitable for people with thin and fine hair. These clips have a gap. This can be fine depending on how much hair you're trying to hold, but it can be tricky with thin/fine hair as the spacing between centers can cause the hair to just slip through. I can see that this is within the normal range (I've been using these clips for almost 30 years) and I really think they're worth a try. As long as they don't fall apart too quickly, I consider them a win. They are amazing! MY HAIR: almost to my waist, semi-dense, a mix of waves and curls. I currently have blue hair that pulls the sides back (as per their product image). I often use bobby pins to secure my hair when tying it in a bun. Then I use either a large or extra large clip or 2 medium clips. So I would use two of these for this purpose.
