OK, but depends on what you want to connect

The first thing to know is that this is a non-powered docking station. This means it doesn't have a dedicated power supply, instead drawing power to the laptop via a USB-C cable. This is important depending on what you want to connect (see later in the overview). The dock is relatively small. There is no hidden space as it is large enough for its connectors and circuitry. However, that also means it's lightweight. So if you have strong cables, it may or may not stay quiet on your desk. You can use velcro or 3M double sided tape if you want to prevent it from moving on the table. The included USB-C cable is fairly short (about 6 inches) so the docking station sits behind or next to the laptop. The cable is hardwired into the device, so it's not as simple as using your own USB-C cable. I first used the docking station to connect two external monitors to my laptop. The monitors are 1080p and this unit worked very well. I connected my phone to the USB port of the docking station and my laptop used the phone as a storage device when connected. A little later I wanted to expand my home office and bought a USB-powered ring lamp. When I connected it to the dock and turned it on, the external monitors were disabled. It looks like the ring light is drawing too much power because the docking station has run out of power. I then expanded my home office with an external microphone and an external camera. After plugging in any of these devices (without the ring display attached) the laptop would not respond to the devices being plugged in. Devices work as seen by the laptop when connected directly, but not through the docking station. In short, if you need to connect monitors and some external storage devices, this docking station is most likely the one for you. However, if you want to connect external devices such as cameras, microphones, ring lights or other devices, this dock will not work as intended. I have not tried any external keyboards or external mice with this dock.
