Review on Premium Classic Samurai CS-201 Heavy-Duty Long Handled Safety Razor Bundle includes 5 Astra Double Edge Razor Blades by Melissa Parker

I am an experienced double blade razor. I have tried many different DE razors in combination with different blades. I live in Europe where we have high quality razors. I like German straight razors from MÜHLE, MERKUR, GIESEN&FORSTHOFF (TIMOR) or PILS because of their excellent workmanship, sometimes at high prices. I found this SAMURAI razor here at Revain and my first impression was not the best. a bit "too much" with a lot of promises written on it. Compare this packaging to the reputable German PILS razor packaging and you will see what I mean. So I ordered this razor mainly out of curiosity. TEST: I chose not to test this samurai razor with one of the included ASTRA blades, but with an extremely sharp Japanese FEATHER blade. If this razor is really as soft as promised, I can feel it immediately with the FEATHER blade. RESULT: I have enjoyed a shave that exceeded my expectations with this samurai razor. This razor is SOFT, very well balanced, well made. I was able to shave gently and got "smooth baby facial skin". QUALITY: Look at the photos, I compared this SAMURAI razor with the GIESEN&FORSTHOFF (TIMOR) Gentle Shaver. Both razors are very similar in shape, weight and softness. .The SAMURAI razor is well made. CONCLUSION: I recommend this razor. It offers the best shaving experience with very sharp Japanese KAI or FEATHER blades. Also consider testing Russian blades with it: RAPIRA Platinum Lux or VOSKHOD.
