Review on 6X8 Journal Refill Handmade Unlined by Kelsey Brown

I bought a replacement Rustic Ridge unit to evaluate. I would like to avoid spending on moleskin sketchbooks if possible. Exposing paper to the same challenges it would face on a scenic trip to Europe seems like a good way to do this. So far I've used watercolour, gouache, felt tip pens, sepia and black ink fountain pens, gel pens, watercolor and colored pencils. The main problem with all the media presented was that the paper wrinkled when wet. However, the medium did not penetrate the paper and after a few days the paper was fine. The only penetration that happened was when I decided to change the red area of the gouache to purple. I did this with watercolor pencils and then polished. I then had red ink on the back of the page. In general, I liked the paper and I take it instead of other sketchbooks.
