I rarely write reviews, but in this case I have to make an exception, especially with regards to putting the screen on a stand and figuring out how to tilt it. Contrary to several statements in the Questions section of this product, THIS MONITOR TILTS! The non-text diagram that Viewsonic provides when mounting the monitor on a rather wobbly stand is so small that what I believe is the most important detail is unreadable without a microscope. .Some parts and cables are thrown in the box. One of these is an almost flat circular disk, apparently intended to be placed on a table, over which an oval cylinder or collar snaps. There is a matching oval boss on the back of the monitor that fits into an oval collar. , but once that's done and both the screen and stand are placed on the table, the screen wobbles back and forth and there doesn't seem to be any way to level it, let alone tilt it. called support and was put through to a very helpful but clearly confused representative who admitted this wasn't the first request she'd received recently for the same issue. She tried to help me and stopped me for a few minutes. While waiting, I noticed another unidentified item in my own plastic bag, the intended purpose of which was mysterious. It looked like it was a cable manager, but there were no clues as to where or how to connect it. It's shaped like a T and seems like the longer end is meant to fit somewhere. I rotated the monitor and noticed a hole in the back of the collar that held the screen. Looking into this hole with a flashlight, I found that this hole (barely) aligned with another hole on the monitor bar that goes into the collar. I wondered if the mysterious piece was meant to snap into those holes. After a few tries, it finally snapped into place and turned out to be the magic bit that made everything work. This leveled the screen and provided enough resistance to tilt it. When the support rep came back online, I explained what I had done and told her there was no way the Viewsonic chart (or anything else I saw online) could figure it out. a small part of what she was for and where she had to go. I hope these comments will save future customers the time and frustration I experienced. As for the monitor, I use it with a Mac Mini. It works and is probably everything you could want for less than $100. If you're used to the iMac's screen, you should spend some time tweaking the controls, which are awkwardly located on the underside (rather than the front) of the lower bezel.
