Black and Decker Pet VAC have been with us for about a year now. It replaces the filter in the removable part that catches hair and dirt. It has a filter part and plastic, and the quality is decent. The filter part does not lie so tightly on the plastic, but this does not particularly affect the function. More looks like the original replacement. It should probably be changed every 2 months as it shakes out so often. It depends on how often you use it. There are six in the pack so it lasts for a year. So you pay about $3 per shift with this 6 pack. It's worth it because when it's new it picks up more hair.
