This would be a great cover for a human-only family, or family with a small dog. It’s attractive and the fabric feels nice to sit on.However, we have a 75 pound Labrador who loves to sit on the sofa, which is why we purchased this item. It only took 4 days for the tiny piece of light cotton fabric holding the elastic strap to the cover to rip off, which left us scrambling a lot (unsuccessfully) to try to keep the sofa covered. I added a photo of the 2” x 2” square of fabric that attaches to the cover to hold the elastic in place. It attaches to a metal buckle of sorts. If they attached elastic instead of fabric to the cover, it may have held better.This item is not water resistant. Liquid goes straight through. It is machine washable, which is why I gave it five stars for ease of cleaning.I’m going to attempt to come up with a better attachment and keep it, but wouldn’t order again.
