Review on Sennheiser OCX 684I Sports Headphones: Over-Ear, Sweat/Water-Resistant Earbuds for Active Use by Kevin Reyes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good sports headphones with some flaws

The workmanship is quite satisfactory. Sennheiser has made sure that both the sound reproduction and the quality of the plastic are good. The set includes 3 sets of small/medium/large ear tips to ensure your personal comfort when using. I also like the green and yellow color scheme. However, it has some disadvantages: Firstly, the volume control does not work on all devices. The product claims to be designed for iPod/iPhone but only the play/stop button works. My previous Sennheiser had the same controls but it worked with Android devices. Second, the wiring is asymmetrical: that means you'll have an imbalance when running, and while the buckle does the job, I can't help but feel a little uncomfortable with the design choice. Third and important note: the jack has a direct connection to the audio cable, whereas in previous designs the angle was 90°. Again, it is stated that it is designed for Apple devices, so it is normal. but sometimes it wears out the product quickly. In short: a good product, but if you're using an Android device and don't attach it to your running headband, you might want to consider another solution.
