I really wanted to like this pillow. I ordered it when I was 12 weeks pregnant to sleep better at night. It came in a large box and was in a sealed plastic bag. After reading the directions I opened the packaging to expand and immediately noticed the smell which I think some of the other reviews commented on. I decided to take the cover off and wash it immediately and then put the pillow outside to air and expand. I brought it at night and I also noticed the smell and the fact that the filling was not fully inflated. I waited another day and put it outside again to air out. I finally decided to use it after letting it stretch for 2 full days and still smelled the pillow but it was much more subdued. I slept very well the first few nights, but then I noticed the filling was flattening out and becoming hard/lumpy. I shook it up which helped for a few more nights but it flattened out again and got hard. The smell never went away either and after using it for about 2 1/2 weeks I decided to bring it back. I am very happy with the work the company did and how quickly I received my refund. The return only took 2 days. If you like a flatter pillow then this is probably fine, it's just not for me.
