The latest evaporative cooler we bought from a major hardware store said that not only did it come with a remote control but when you add ice it produces cold air, that never happened. Decided to look for another one, stumbled across this evaporative cooler and crossed my fingers. When it arrived it came with 2 bottles which you fill and freeze to make it colder which I did. Once they were completely frozen, I filled this cooler and turned it on. Before filling it I put 2 frozen bottles in it and then filled it up to keep the water from overflowing. Not only is this cool box easy to fill, it also holds so much water. After plugging it in and letting it run for a bit, I checked the air exiting this cooler. Not only was it cold, but the fact that the water in the tank was ice cold was really important. As we tested it, the house was still warm and stuffy at just 78 degrees, and our living room cooled almost immediately. This cooler is very easy to move as it has wheels, but just because it has wheels doesn't mean it will move on its own as long as it's standing on it. You can choose whether it vibrates or not, there are 3 speeds: low, medium and high, you can make it cooler than it already is if that button isn't on, several different air modes and there's even a timer. . While it's by no means the size of our tower fan, it packs neatly into the corner of our room. This weekend will be the mid 80's and this cooler will definitely come in handy. I should also mention that it doubles as a humidifier, which is great for one of our kids who gets a nosebleed when the air is too dry. Another thing we love about it is that the air that's blown out has a nice, clean smell, rather than the recycled air it just sucked in. It doesn't drip either.
